Why Write?A book, a blog, a published article is a calling card, a sample of your expertise, a way of getting to know you, an invitation to explore what matters most to you.Writing can be ecstatic. It can also be a necessary and noble grind. It can be a profound exercise in healing. It can even be an act of resistance. Think of Martin Luther King’s Letters from Birmingham Jail, Maya Angelou’s I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, Toni Morrison’s Beloved, or Thich Nhat Hanh’s writings during the Vietnam War, in his homeland. These writers awakened something within us. A curiosity, a compassion, an understanding. They remind us of our soul, and perhaps even rearranged the molecular structure of our world...

Writing has that power. And you have that in you. To me, writing is a form of meditation, of aligning with the song of the universe. Maybe that is what “the muse” is - the deep listening that awakens the voice of existence itsef. It’s an offering of oneself to that which emerges from deep enquiry. It’s an act of courage to give it voice. It’s an act of service to uplift and inspire others.Join us for a summer course in writing, and experience the medicine of your own voice and your own stories. Write For Life, 10 weeks of how-to, motivation and prompts, circles of support, starts July 14. Link in bio 🖊️💛—#writeforlife #writeyourlife#writeforyourlife #writingheals #writing ...
