Does light bend time? Or does time bend light? Are they even separate? Or does time even exist? If you’re on a train and lightning strikes in two different spots simultaneously…. You see where this is going. (The Alps I hope!)This is the light as it will move through time this month. But scientists now tell us time is an illusion, while Einstein’s theory of gravity has recently been demonstrated by finding the two black holes we apparently emerge from. The dark mother… the pull of gravity… Anyway I have theory that gravity is really love. It is Ojas after all that holds us together, keeps pulling us back to our center. Vata, Pitta, Kapha as the four fundamental forces of the universe (Pitta being Pitta covers two (always the overachiever ;))Lord of Ojas Jupiter moving to Gemini is significant as Jupiter’s transits are generally a year, and therefore generally have time, there’s that pesky time again, to make an impact. But when did a planet ever obey our human notions? They are devas after all, with forces all their own. Jupiter in Gemini is putting on his skates and hurling himself toward his place of exaltation, Cancer, where he will be October 10-December 5. I’m taking that as a hopeful period. But everything nowadays is teaching us patience and a “let’s see” attitude. Also big this month is the transit of Rahu and Ketu who move every 18 months. They’ve been in Pisces/Virgo respectively since late 2023. They move May 18 to Aquarius/Leo. Rahu is strong in Aquarius so look for scientific breakthroughs, technical innovations, unconventional perspectives that expand understanding. And probably more rabbit holes… 🐇There is a light that never goes out. I hope you know that, feel that, love by that. We have a Soma Circle this Thursday for rituals of light and attunement. Link in bio if you want to join us. Also I will be joining @ayurvedabysiva this evening for her Moon Circle, to explore power of Ekadashi, the 11th moon. Big hugs! 💛🕊️__#jyotish #vedic #vedicastrology #sidereal #siderealastrology #maytransits ... See MoreSee Less

Today is the most auspicious day of the year, Akshaya Tritiya (exact times in Stories). Akshaya Tritiya is observed annually on the third lunar day of the waxing moon, in the spring, when the Sun and Moon are both exalted - in Aries and Taurus, respectively. The term Akshaya (अक्षय) means “imperishable,” “undiminishing,” or “eternal,” suggesting that activities initiated, gifts given, or spiritual practice on this day will bring enduring results. Many auspicious events are associated with Akshaya Tritiya:✨ The descent of the Ganga to Earth.✨ The birth of Lord Parashurama, the sixth avatar of Vishnu✨ The day Draupadi received the Akshaya Patra (the vessel of unending food) during the Pandavas’ exile, ensuring their sustenanceIt is a favored day for beginning new ventures, or celebrating anything important, based on the belief that actions performed on this day are amplified. Giving Food, clothing, and precious metals (especially gold) is rewarded manifold, reinforcing the Vedic ideal of generosity and compassion. It is an auspicious day for all spiritual practices, of course, again with the belief that actions are magnified and perpetuated through time.Light a ghee lamp, or a candle, say a prayer, or chant your mantras, and remember this same exalted light is in you 🪔__In honor of this day, I am offering 30% off a Jyotish Consult or Series to the first 3 people who book in. Comment STARS below for the link and the discount code. Thank you. Wishing you eternal blessings. Happy day! ✨🕊️✨__#akshayatritiya #shubhakshayatritiya #exaltedsun #exaltedmoon #suninaries #moonintaurus #sidereal #jyotish #vedicastrology #equatorialastronomy ronomy ... See MoreSee Less

New Moon in Bharani Nakshatra. Bharani Nakshatra is the cosmic wild child — bold, creative, and full of juicy life force. A New Moon always signals beginnings — but with this in Bharani Nakshatra, it’s not just about planting seeds. It’s about birthing something from deep within you — something raw, potent, and real. Bharani is ruled by Venus and connected to the energy of the yoni (the sacred portal of creation). The “ruler” of Bharani is Lord Yama, so this moon carries a fierce Shakti. It has the power to take things away (Aparna Shakti). Bharani means to bear. Here, one may bear deep loss, or one may bear new life, as the womb. With this new moon there is immense creative, transformative, breakthrough energy. It’s like the universe saying:🌱 “Not just a little idea — BIRTH something big. Bring it to life.”Prompts🌙 What needs to be released or shed to make way for the new?🌙 What new creative project, relationship, identity, or dream are you brave enough to nurture into existence?🌙 Can you commit to the messy, beautiful, sometimes uncomfortable process of becoming?🌙 Are you willing to jump in now? What are you waiting for? A new Moon is always conjunct the Sun, this one exalted in Aries. Bharani is ruled by Venus, currently exalted, and in powerful exchange (Parivartana) with Jupiter, and escaping the stress of recent aspects with Rahu and Saturn. It’s a moon that invites courage, truth, and trust in the natural rhythms of creation. In short: This New Moon in Bharani is not just a fresh start — it’s a deep, juicy REBIRTH.How are you stepping into this potent portal? 🌙Want more moon wisdom? More sacred ritual? More divine alignment in your daily life? Join us for our monthly Soma Circles. We share Vedic myths, stories, mantras, Jyotish, Ayurveda, in practical, useful ways, connecting heart to heart, and to Mother Nature.
