Full moon in Uttara Bhadrapada Nakshatra, Pisces 26 September, 17:50 UTC | 09:50 PacificUttara Bhadrapada is a sacred space where the soul ripens through patience, compassion, and inner stillness. Presided over by Ahirbudhnya (the serpent of the deep ocean) and ruled by Saturn, this nakshatra teaches the wisdom of holding space for life to unfold naturally without trying to control the waves. Uttara Bhadrapada allows things to grow and shows the descent of grace from above. Uttara Bhadra gives us a firm foundation in life, and allows one to explore the spiritual depths. “The shakti of Uttara Bhadrapada is the power to bring the rain. Its basis above is the rain clouds. Its basis below is the growing of the plants. From this, the three worlds gain their stability.” ~ Dr. David Frawley Its symbol is the enclosed, encircled serpent, the generative serpent who connects us with the creative powers at the foundations of the world.Uttara means upper or higher. Bhadra means auspicious. Pada means foot or step. So Uttara Bhadrapada gives higher growth, and a prosperity that is beneficial to all. Perhaps this full harvest moon is about receiving the rains, harvesting the blessings, being a fertile ground for the heart to unfold.I wish you all Purnima blessings 🙏🏽🌕__#fullmoon #harvestmoon #uttarabhadrapada #nakshatra #vedicastrology ... Autumn begins… In Ayurveda, Autumn is considered Vata season. It’s the season of winds, of leaves scattering, and sunlight receding. It is the season for warm, gentles spices; grounding foods - baked, roasted or steamed; tonics and teas that extend that warmth and grounding, full body oil massage every morning, epsom baths in the evening for good sleep, and movement that harmonizes the inner winds, stabilizing Prana, while bringing joy, freedom and inspiration. There are only three months now until the winter equinox, followed by a new year. Do we really have to hurry up and get it all done? What if we are intentional instead in our self care, in slowing down, in growing up mindfulness and deep, compassionate connections, in soulful creativity? What if Autumn never meant to be fast? A time to get it all done? But a time to reap the harvest and enjoy the feast, slowly and in good company? What if we are meant to live, love, heal, enlighten, create, and make beauty… more than just produce? What if you and everything here is already enough, and now is the time we get to settle into the abundance? Let me know how you will be loving you, and this one precious world, this season.🍂Image by @ ... See MoreSee Less

This is such a beautiful quote as we enter the season of wind. Vayu, the power of wind, scatters seeds for winter food and spring growth to come. Prana, the power of consciousness and life vitality within, gives radiant health when its flow is free, unencumbered and harmonious. In autumn as the Sun recedes, we keep our inner winds strong with warmth, grounding meals, daily Abhyanga, gentle exercise, balancing breath practices, and all the things that help us feel serene, sumptuous and whole. Then it feels as if we are the trees, whispering the harmony of heaven.Be well,Laura__#poetry #thomasmerton #autumn #ayurveda #livingtheseasons ... See MoreSee Less
